The New Whitehall Rowing Skiff


Overview

This handsome and seaworthy 14ft 6in. rowing skiff is designed to be easy to row on estuary or river. Of GRP construction she can be rowed either single or doubles, coxed or un-coxed. She is based on the Whitehall Skiff, a traditional American design used on the Hudson River in New York, although reputed to have originated on the River Thames in the 18th. Century. She has ample buoyancy and adjustable thwarts and can be supplied in any colour. Weighing only 80 kg (165lb) the New Whitehall is easy to handle afloat or ashore and can take up to four adults. The photographs on the website are of ‘Mach 1’ preparing for the 2016 Great River Race on the Thames. Prices start at £3350-00 for the basic version with more serious rowing options available on request. A combi road trailer and cover can be supplied if required.

Specification

The basic boat has full buoyancy with inspection hatches fore and aft and screw bungs in the side tanks. Two adjustable thwarts, rowlocks and plates fitted and stretchers. Exterior in grey or white gelcoat. Interior painted white, all woodwork in iroko, painted grey. Price £3350-00.
